The Trail & District Arts Council, Triple Threat Experience, and STEPS Dance Centre will fill the streets of Trail with the smell of rebellion from July 20 to 21 as the musical theatre camp students invade The Bailey Theatre stage to perform Roald Dahl’s “Matilda The Musical JR.”
Rebellion is high in “Matilda JR.”, a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
The Triple Threat Experience cast contains approximately 42 students directed by Juliana Marko, with musical direction by Lise Levesque and choreography by Nadine Tremblay.
Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, “Matilda JR.” is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
The Triple Threat Experience students will put on performances on July 20 at 3pm & 7pm and July 21 at 3pm at The Bailey Theatre.
Tickets are $15 for youth 12 and under and $20 for everyone 13+.
