Nelson Service
Please join the Royal Canadian Legion #51 Nelson BC as they honour the people who have served this country in military actions.
Parade: veterans and participants will be gathering on Victoria Street in front of the Legion, by 10:30 am. March Off will be at 10:40, led by the Kootenai Kilties.
Cenotaph: services start just before 11:00 am, so observers should find their place before that. It can be quite busy, so it is worth coming a little early.
The names of the wreath donors will be read at the Cenotaph at about 10:30.
Please remember that the Parade comes right through the walkway, so there needs to be room for the procession.
Veterans: if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Nelson Legion. We will have some chairs and blankets set out for our veterans who might need them.
The Hampton Gray VC Lounge at the Legion will be open after the ceremony for those who would like to raise a glass to loved ones present or remembered.
GRAND FORKS
Service will be held in front of the Cenotaph at City Hall at 10:30 - people are asked to gather on the sidewalk before 10:30.
Please join us on November 11, 2024 after our Remembrance Day Ceremony at 7353 6th Street.
Our Grand Forks Legion Ladies Auxiliary will be making Chili and a Bun for our guests.
Please note that a donation for the meal is appreciated and helps our Ladies Auxiliary continue their volunteer work and donations to our Legion and the Grand Forks Community.
